🧑 GRADE 7 TOUR – DAY 5 🧑

Our final day on tour started bright and early as we left Swadini at 06:00 and made our way to Chimp Eden. πŸ’ Here, our Grade 7s enjoyed interesting environmental talks, played a few games and then visited the chimpanzee enclosures with our knowledgeable guide.

Although some of the chimpanzees’ life stories are heartbreaking, it was wonderful to see them now living in a safe, caring and happy environment. ❀️

🐾 GRADE 7 TOUR – DAY 4 | DAG 4 🐾

What a day of unforgettable animal encounters! πŸ†πŸ¦πŸπŸ•·οΈ

After a good breakfast, we set off for the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, where our Grade 7s had an incredible opportunity to learn more about some of Africa’s most fascinating animals. Our knowledgeable guide introduced us to rhinos, leopards, cheetahs and vultures and shared fascinating information about each species. πŸ¦πŸ†

The Centre’s conservation work, especially its efforts to protect cheetahs, gave our pupils a wonderful insight into the importance of protecting South Africa’s wildlife. Seeing these magnificent animals up close was certainly a highlight of the day! ❀️

From there, we headed to Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Centre. Here we learned about the important work involved in rescuing and rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife. Some animals cannot safely be returned to the wild and become ambassadors for conservation and education.

🧑 GRADE 7 TOUR – DAY 3 | GRAAD 7-TOER – DAG 3 🧑

This morning started very early! ⏰ We woke up at 04:00 and left Forever Resort Blyde Canyon at 05:00 with our packed breakfasts in hand. Our journey to the Kruger National Park took a little longer due to detours, but we entered the Park at 08:00.

We had some fantastic sightings throughout the morning. Although the cats were a little elusive, we were lucky enough to see elephants, buffalo, kudu, giraffes and many other animals. πŸ˜πŸ¦¬πŸ¦’ Kian and Sienna earned special spotting awards for being the first to spot a warthog and hippo respectively!
