📍Visit the Locrate Market in Soweto
The self-described lifestyle market “to break all markets”, the Locrate Market has “mother trucker” food trucks, live music, poetry readings, bike tours, craft beer and singular designer apparel.

🚌Hop on a Red Bus Tour
The most cheerful way to discover Joburg is on the roof of a shiny red city sightseeing bus. Hop on, hop off the red bus and choose how you spend your time. The City Sightseeing tour comes with audio commentary available in 15 languages. This tour is a great way to get the best views and vibes of the City of Gold. You should definitely add it to your list of fun things to do in Johannesburg itinerary.

🍸Grab a drink at the coolest rooftop spot in JHB, the Living Room!
The Living Room is a rooftop oasis made up of ever-changing vertical gardens. The delicious meze and smoothies are highly recommended. Swing in a hammock or sip a smoothie surrounded by greenery and a spectacular view.

Oriental Plaza is open 09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday, and 09:00 – 15:00 on Saturday.

#5 tips for a glowing skin this summer 🧖‍♀️😎

Days are getting longer and warmer, it’s time to adjust your skincare regime.

🌞Enjoy the sunshine
Summer is all about sunshine and getting your vitamin D fix. Vitamin D is essential for regulating the absorption of calcium and phosphorus and facilitating normal immune system function. Keep your skin from overexposure and stay out of the sun during the hottest time of the day

💧Keep your skin hydrated
It’s not only the hotter summer weather that can dry out sensitive skin. Drinking alcohol, not getting enough sleep and frequent dips in the sea or pool also have a negative effect. To keep your skin moisturised, add a few drops of facial oil to your day or night cream for an added moisture boost.

🧼Keep your skin clean
Increased sweating is a natural by-product of warmer weather, and can result in clogged pores, which in turn may cause breakouts and pimples. Keep your skin properly cleansed by using a natural skin care product that will help remove sweat and dust particles that stick to your skin.

🥦Eat healthily
Eating a balanced diet filled with unprocessed foods and plenty of fruits and vegetables will go a long way to keeping your skin looking great and hydrated. Go for fruits that are high in water content, such as watermelon, a favourite in sunny South Africa, and delicious on its own or in a salad with feta and rocket, sprinkled with sunflower seed

Cheap Drinks to Make at Home

🍹Cape Codder
It's a simple, tasty drink. All you need is cranberry juice and a carefully chosen inexpensive bottle of vodka. Building on that foundation, you can add just one more juice to create another refreshing mixed drink.

🍹Margarita
The margarita is an incredibly simple drink of tequila, triple sec, and lime juice. While it is better with top-shelf spirits, there are good budget-friendly options that make an excellent drink, especially if you use fresh lime.

🍹Daiquiri
The daiquiri is just as versatile as the margarita. Rum is often even cheaper, and this recipe simply requires lime juice and simple syrup. Stick with the original cocktail or diversify your drinking experience with any flavour you can imagine.The strawberry daiquiri is a favourite, and either fresh or frozen berries will do.

🍹Mojito
Sometimes it takes a few fresh herbs to spice up a drink. If you have a bottle of rum, some mint, sugar, lime, and sprite, then you have a mojito! It's a fantastic drink that doesn't have to break the bank and it's easier than you think.

🍹Tequila Sunrise
Mix up a tequila sunrise. Make it with tequila and fresh-squeezed orange juice when you have the fruit, or go with the bottled juice, it's great either way.

🍹Mimosa
When you have a bottle of sparkling wine, few drinks are better suited for it than the mimosa. Adding orange liqueur and juice is the perfect way to give an inexpensive wine new life.

🍹Cafe Caribbean
The cafe Caribbean is a perfect example of just how easy it is to spike your coffee. The recipe adds rum and amaretto, and it's just as satisfying without the whipped cream and shaved almonds.
