The national pass rate for the Class of 2023 is 82.9% which is an increase of 2.8% from the 80.1% in 2022!

The has shown how dedication and resilience ultimately culminate in a dream translating into reality. Notwithstanding a myriad of challenges, these young individuals have crossed the threshold into the next chapter of their lives.

The DBE is proud of the Class of 2023 and their achievements. We wish them all the best for their future endeavours.

International Accreditation:

Over the last eight years I have been heavily engaged in the process of Bible School/College accreditation processes in South Africa and to a limited degree across the continent.

My engagements led me to meet and interact with a number of the key stakeholders in this space, these include individuals in academia, the broad church and state, as well as Pastors, leaders and many well meaning brothers and sisters.

If I had a hundred dollars for every time I heard the term International Accreditation of a Bible School, I'd be living a comfortable life right now.

Let me say of the bat that this term in and of itself is a misnomer as it relates to Bible School's and colleges. Simply because it does not exist.

It is a blatant lie!

All of the companies claiming to be accrediting bodies are in fact private entities, who carry no government sanction. Meaning that they are not authorised to legally approve the issuing of diplomas and or degrees, neither in their country of origin nor any other country abroad.

Academic accreditation by its very nature implies that the student upon completion and graduation is able to transfer the credits of their field of study to any university or tertiary institution anywhere in the world. It also means that the individual has the legal right to present him or herself as a graduate, with full rights and privileges to their respective employer and to the world at large.

Sadly all the Church Bible School's and Colleges in South Africa and across the African continent that claim to hold "International Accreditation" for their programmes are in fact not duly registered and authorised to operate and issue bonafide diplomas and degree's neither in South Africa nor across the continent.

This means that any diploma or degree obtained from these Church based institutions are not transferable to any public or private university or college, anywhere in the world, should the "graduate" choose to pursue further ed
