Osborn Senior Secondary School was first established as a Methodist Missionary School around 1930s.It was built and handed over on the 20th May 1939 with fewer classrooms, more classrooms were built and handed over on the 10th of October 1957. The school was later renovated by the Nelson Mandela Foundation in 2000.

In the early 50s a Historic girls hostel was established and was given a name of "NONIKO". The Hostel accommodated learners from all over the Country during aparthied years, there were teachers cottages which were built to cater for teachers who wanted to reside nearby. The school also had a post office which serviced the community.

From the early 70s we can mession about 5 Principals who have led the school, starting with Mr. Ntlantsana from Tsolo who was principal in the early 70s to late 70s. In the early 80s to the late 90s the school was led by Mr. Gwegwe from Tabankulu. Mr. Gwegwe was succeeded by Mr. Mfihlo from Mt frere in the early 2000s. Mr. Mfihlo was succeeded by Mr. Nokwe from Qumbu, He led up to the 31st of December 2012.

From January 2013 BHELE Mr Mfokazi took over with His two Deputies Mrs Mbebe-Mbotho and Mr Mavuma, they played a Huge role in helping the School achieve top results for few consecutive years up to 2022.

We are Currently Led by one young brilliant Principal of note Mr Siyangaphi. 👏
