🥣 Something’s cooking at Milkwood Primary. And it looks suspicious.

Our learners are bringing Craig Hawes’ “Porridge” to the stage, where nursery-rhyme characters have rather more to worry about than missing their breakfast!

Bring the family for a helping of mystery, music and mischief. Looking innocent is optional.

Monday Memory Lane Moment

Our youngest Milkwood family members ended Term 3 on a high note with a visit to the Diaz Museum. It was a fun-filled day for our Grade R's, and they learned about our town's interesting history. They explored all the different areas inside the museum and ended the day with a lovely picnic on the museum grounds. A wonderful, memorable day indeed!

Congratulations, Conlan Duthie! ♟️

Conlan participated in the Eden Chess Competition in Albertinia, where he won 1st place in the Under-12 Boys category.

He has also been selected to represent the region at the Mzansi National Chess Championship in Johannesburg during the December holidays. Selection is based solely on merit points accumulated across the country, making this a fantastic achievement.

Well done, Conlan! We are very proud of you!

Lets help kindness bloom wherever we go! 🌷✨

Our Value of the Month is “We Are Polite”, and our learners have been putting it into action! 🩷 In this video, each learner was given a beautiful pink flower with a polite and kind saying on it. One by one, they shared their saying before carefully “planting” their flower in our kindness garden. 🌱

As each flower found its place, our little garden grew - just like kindness does when we share kind words and speak to others with respect. 💕 At the end, our learners proudly declared: “This is our Kindness Garden!”, with the sweetest reminder of all: “When we use polite words, kindness blooms.” 🌷

As we head into the upcoming holidays, let’s remember to take our polite words, kind manners and kind hearts with us wherever we go, because a little please, thank you and you’re welcome can make someones day bloom! 💗🌸
