(Unofficial Statement)

Peter Mokaba Primary School burns to ashes.

It is still unclear what happened that led to the Administration Block of Peter Mokaba Primary School catching fire in the early hours of Saturday 08 February 2025.

Peter Mokaba Primary School is an elementary school located in Moloto, Mpumalanga that caters for around 1418 learners with around 41 educators.

The fire engulfed the school's main Office including the Admin office, HODs' offices, kitchen parts of the main staff room.

We hope this doesn't affect learning as Monday is just around the corner.

The cost of the damage is yet to be calculated as officials are still assessing the damage.

Big ups to the Mpumalanga Fire Department and the KwaMhlanga Visipol Department (SAPS) for the outstanding work done in controlling the blaze.

It is speculated that arson is at play.

This is a developing story.

Kindly note that we will be releasing learners at 12h30 everyday as they are writing their Formal Tests (Exams).

Parents/ Guardians are reminded to make necessary arrangements for learners to be picked up from school and further arrange for them to be looked after at home during such time when Parents/Guardians are at work.

Christmas did come early this year.

It was all smiles, laughter and dancing today, 07 September 2022 as we were graced by Mzilibomvu's memorable presence.

The transport services offering transportation to the school whenever we undergo trips has decided to 'give' back to the school.

They donated school shoes to the needy learners as a way of giving back to the community.

They have managed to put smiles in the children's faces.

Thank You to the team and may you keep on giving to receive more!

They did it again!

Devine Blessing Moyo was representing Peter Mokaba Primary School in Poetry at the Nkangala District Heritage Celebration on the 1st of September 2022 at eMalahleni Civic Centre.
As usual, she bagged 2 trophies.

Educators will be attending a memorial service in Moloto Primary School. And as such, learners have been/ will be released during break time (10h30).

We urge parents/ guardians to come and collect them and/ or make arrangements for them to be collected and looked after.

Peter Mokaba Primary would like to inform you that tomorrow, Thursday 25 August 2022, there will be a teachers' union meeting and as a result, all learners SHOULD NOT COME TO SCHOOL.

Learners will come to school on Friday 26 August 2022.

Enrollment for 2023 now open.

Parents/ Guardians

If your child is a learner at Peter Mokaba Primary you are encouraged to re-register them for 2023 to secure a space. To re-register you must bring:
*Two (2 packs) of Typek (NB, TYPEK ONLY and must be 500 sheets)

Also note that if your contact details have changed you need to inform the Admin Office and have them updated.

For first time learners (Grade R and/ or Grade 1) kindly note that to register them you need to bring:
*Parent/ Guardian's ID copy
*Child's Birth Certificate Copy
*Child's Immunization Record Book/ Card (clinic card)
*Two (2 packs) of Typek (NB, TYPEK ONLY and must be 500 sheets)

and for any other grades (transfers) you must bring:
*Parent/ Guardian's ID copy
*Child's Birth Certificate Copy
*Child's Immunization Record Book/ Card (clinic card)
*Transfer Letter from previous school
*Report Card (latest report to be followed by Final/ year end report)
*Two (2 packs) of Typek (NB, TYPEK ONLY and must be 500 sheets)

It was yet another day of celebration as we come back from a blessed weekend.

The Peter Mokaba Primary School learners took part on the Nkangala District Ingoma Festival in KwaMhlanga.

The school participated on the Cultural Dances (Sepedi, IsiNdebele, isiZulu) including the Gumboots Dance.

As always, we won, putting Peter Mokaba Primary on the map once more.
Congratulations to the kids and their leaders.
