At ShadowShadow Global is what drives us every day.

We work alongside like-hearted partners to create real career opportunities for young South Africans who have never had access to meaningful employment before. Through training, developing, and placement into permanent roles, we are helping young people step into dignity, support their families, and build futures filled with possibility.

Because when opportunity reaches one person, it creates a ripple effect that touches families, communities, and generations to come.

February is often referred to as the month of love. At Shadow Global, it offers us a moment to reflect on something that has always been true, that heart is not separate from our work. It is the foundation of it.

From the very beginning, our mission has been rooted in dignity, in recognising potential and in creating access to permanent employment for those too often excluded from opportunity. This work has never been transactional. It has always been deeply human.

Shadow Global was founded on a powerful principle, that when you do something with heart, better and more sustainable outcomes follow. Not because they are forced, but because they are built on belief, consistency and genuine care. This philosophy remains deeply embedded in our DNA. It lives in every student who chooses to keep going. It lives in every Shadow Global colleague who carries responsibility with pride. It lives in the standards we uphold, the dignity we protect and the futures we help bring into motion.

This is not something we switch on for a season. It is who we are. It is how we show up. It is why we exist.

In the spirit of "The Month of Love", we pause to acknowledge the privilege and responsibility of the work we do, and the incredible community who makes it possible.

Today, Shadow Global celebrates the graduation of our 131st class, and a milestone that sits deep in our hearts.

To date, we have supported 2,500 young people, many from marginalised communities, into permanent employment creating opportunity where once it did not exist.

This is 2,500 lives in motion, 2,500 families touched by stability, dignity, and possibility, 2,500 living reminders that when we co-create with true intention and place people at the centre, lasting sustainable outcomes follow.

To our employment partners and funders, thank you for your trust and your continued support as we evolve, learn and build. To our Shadow family, thank you for the heart, the consistency and the standard of care you bring to this work every day. To every like-hearted partner who has walked this journey with us, thank you for choosing genuine impact over quick fixes and outcomes over optics.

And to all our graduates, this is your moment.

Thank you for showing up, for doing the work, for choosing growth even when it was difficult hard. You have transformed, and in doing so, you have changed both the direction of your life and that of your families. We are so proud of you.

Every week, we are reminded of the extraordinary brilliance that unfolds when young people are given the opportunity, the support and the belief they deserve. Today, we celebrate three remarkable former students of our Shadow Global family who continue to shine with purpose, excellence and hear.

It is always inspiring to witness what happens when our Shadow graduates begin their permanent career journeys and, almost immediately, we start to receive these incredible stories of growth, commitment and excellence.

Time and again, it reminds us that when young people are supported through truly holistic development, both personal and professional, something powerful unfolds. Even for youth entering the workplace with no prior formal work experience, the combination of mindset, confidence, self awareness and practical skills ignites a genuine desire to succeed and to do meaningful work.

Our 120th class who graduated from the Shadow Global programme in September 2025, who joined our like-hearted partner Outworx are already shining in their roles and being recognised for outstanding performance:
