Milnerton Montessori Milnerton Montessori Pre-Primary School embraces the Philosophies and Methodologies of Montessori. Our school focuses on the whole child.

We wish to introduce prospective and present parent to our lovely school, whish is situated in a re-vamp house every aspect of our environment has been planned down to the smallest detail to meet the needs of the developing child. It is a child sized world where there is perfect order, where adults treat children with respect and understanding and where children are free to choose their own work, because what a child chooses freely, we know he is interested in. The boy working with the zipper frame and the girl clearing up the mess are taking their first steps towards independence by learning to look after themselves in a safe environment where everything is the right size for them and no adult will ridicule their efforts or step in and take over.

To commemorate the life and work of Nelson Mandela, we chose to collect toiletries and nappies for abused women and children at the Saartjie Baartman Foundation.
We would like to thank all our parents for their generous donations towards our project and as seen below, the children spent their 67 minutes sorting donations and packing bags , experiencing the joy of giving.

Recently Simone attended a Drum Facilitator Training Course. (Drum 360)
Drum 360 was an introduction to the use of drums and rhythmic – based activities in a learning and therapeutic environment.
It was a fun and easy way to learn the skills and techniques required to lead drum circles and rhythmic-based activities for small and large groups.

Simone will be offering, as an extra mural class, drumming sessions…………….more news to follow.
