Over 74% of businesses now rely on automated testing for at least half of their QA processes, and that number keeps climbing.

Automation doesn't replace QA fundamentals, though. It depends on them: someone still has to design the right test cases, understand what "quality" means for that product, and know what to prioritise.

The Fundamentals of Software Quality Assurance programme covers exactly that grounding, testing types and techniques, requirements extraction, test case creation and defect management, before automation ever enters the conversation.

Get the fundamentals right first.

There's a particular kind of satisfaction in finding a bug nobody else noticed. Testers know it well.

The Applied Programme in Software Testing (APST) is built for people who get quietly delighted by that moment, and want to turn it into a proper career, not just a knack.

Test analysis, test management, business requirements, and enough Java to hold your own in a developer's stand-up.

MICTSETA certified, ISTQB®-aligned, delivered virtual live over 8 months, with a Portfolio of Evidence to show for it.

Three things every good IT or QA professional has in common:

They stay curious when everyone else has stopped asking questions. They notice the detail that breaks things, before it does. And they treat "it works on my machine" as the start of a conversation, not the end of one.

If that sounds like you (or like who you'd like to become), FTI's IT, QA & Testing portfolio has a programme to match: a national qualification, focused short courses, and ISTQB® Certified Tester exam preparation.

Nobody grows up dreaming of becoming a Business Analyst. And yet, once you're in it, it's oddly hard to imagine doing anything else.

One day you're untangling a broken process. The next, you're presenting a business case that changes how a company operates. No two projects look the same, and that's exactly the appeal.

The CPBA gives you the formal grounding for it all: BABOK®-aligned, IIBA® endorsed, five to eight months of virtual live learning built around real work, not theory for its own sake.

Most "requirements gathering" still happens the same way it did a decade ago, a workshop, a document, and hope.

Spring is a good moment to question habits that have outgrown their usefulness. Business Analysis has moved on: today it's about problem-solving, enterprise analysis, requirements architecture and process improvement, not just note-taking in meetings.

Our Principles of Business Analysis (PBA) Plus programme resets the fundamentals. Ten virtual live sessions, IIBA® endorsed, built for entry-level Business, Systems and Test Analysts, and for managers who need a clear view of what BAs actually do.

Which habit is your team still holding onto?
