The Valley Pre-Primary School The Valley Pre-Primary School was established in 1981 to serve the educational needs of the children BASED IN MIDRAND, JOHANNESBURG. ESTABLISHED IN 1981.

The Valley Pre-Primary School was established in 1981 to serve the educational needs of the children in the community. New enthusiastic, vibrant teachers as well as the original team, continue to give the children in their care all the love and encouragement needed to build confident and well balanced individuals. The school programme is constantly re-evaluated to keep pace with worldwide educational trends and developing technology. Children are encouraged to think creatively and independently, as this develops leadership qualities. Constant stimulation using the latest educational aids and equipment challenge the children each day. A combination of Traditional and Montessori teaching methods are used, allowing the child to progress at their own pace. The system that we have used over the past years has prepared The Valley children for successful integration into private and government South African Schools, as well as those abroad.

A few highlights before Term 2 concluded.

Our students artwork was on display at The Art @ The Manor exhibition which was held at Norscot Manor. Many of our students received Awards for their work, which was judged by professional artists.

Our Choir performed in a choir festival and participated in a mass choir as well.
Our Choir was congratulated on their outstanding performance as well as their behaviour.

We are incredibly proud of our students as they continue to shine both inside and outside the classroom.

Our Grade 7s hosted their much anticipated Entrepreneurs Day on the 26th June. They decided to give the parents a break and make lunch for the school.
They made Hot Dogs, Jelly and Custard and cookies decorated with Royal Icing.

They had a wonderful time learning how to bake cookies as well as ice them.

Our netball girls who were thrilled to play a match in June and played exceptionally well.

Our students had the opportunity to take part in a Chatterbox public speaking competition. Most of our students received Gold and a few achieved Diplomas for their presentations. We are extremely proud and congratulate them on their exceptional speeches.

June has been a rather busy month at The Valley, over the next few days we will be posting pictures from the various events our students have been involved in.

We start off with our Art Exhibition which was held on the 5th June.
We received a wonderful and overwhelming support from our parents. Thank you to everyone who attended and added their vote to their favourite artworks.
We look forward to showing off the various chosen artworks at the Art @ the Manor exhibition that will be held at Norscot Manor at the end of July.
