, Over the past two weeks, a number of you have messaged me about a competition — asking whether it's ours, or whether we're connected to Umami Academy.

So let me say it plainly. Umami Academy is a completely different company. We have no relationship with them. Not a partner, not a sister brand, not a rebrand of us. Different people, different business.

We don't run competitions. We never have.

Umami Food Studio has been teaching Asian cooking in Johannesburg since 2017. Our only channels are our Facebook account ( Food Studio), our instagram (), and our online shop at www.UmamiFoodStudio.co.za. Anything else isn't us.

If you're ever unsure whether something is from us — just ask. Message me here and I'll tell you straight.
