🥛🐮 From Farm to Fridge 🐮🥛

Ever wondered how milk gets from the farm to your fridge? The Story of Milk programme takes learners on an exciting journey through the food path of milk and other dairy products.

Discover how cows produce milk, learn fascinating dairy facts, and gain a better understanding of where everyday foods come from!

Last week, Grow@Eduplus and Rediscoverdairy had the privilege of participating in the Yebo Gogga exhibition as an exhibitor!

We partnered with Sampro CEP and the Rediscover Dairy project to teach learners from various schools about the journey of milk — from the farm to the fridge — in a fun and interactive way.

The learners especially enjoyed learning about the cow’s digestion process, and many were fascinated to discover that a cow has four stomachs! It was wonderful to see their curiosity and excitement during the activities.

Teachers also found the information and educational resources extremely valuable, with the Rediscover Dairy activity booklets being a big favourite among both learners and educators.

The Yebo Gogga Yebo amaBlomo exhibition, hosted annually by the University of the Witwatersrand, continues to inspire a love for science, nature, and interactive learning.

At Grow@Eduplus, we are committed to equipping young learners with essential life skills through engaging and meaningful experiences. 🚸

We recently presented our Road Safety Programme to Foundation Phase learners, focusing on key safety principles for pedestrians, cyclists, and passengers, as well as an introduction to road signs, scholar patrols, and the role of traffic officers.

The session was delivered through an interactive, age-appropriate approach, incorporating movement, role-play, and practical demonstrations to ensure that learners not only understood the concepts but could apply them confidently in real-life situations.
It was encouraging to see learners actively participate and demonstrate their understanding of safe road behaviour.

At Grow@Eduplus, we believe that empowering children with knowledge and awareness from a young age plays a vital role in building safer communities.

We had a wonderful time exhibiting at the VVOS AECYC Seminar on Early Childhood Education on 14 March! 🌟

It was an inspiring day filled with meaningful conversations, shared ideas, and a collective passion for supporting the growth and development of young children. We loved connecting with educators and professionals who are dedicated to shaping the future through quality early childhood education.

A big thank you to Vereniging vir Voorskoolse Opvoeding en Sorg / Association for the Education and Care of Young Children (VVOS AECYC) for hosting such a valuable and well-organised event. It was truly a privilege to be part of it.

We look forward to continuing the conversation and working together to support early learning communities. 💛
