한국어기초반(Basics of Korean) and 한국어회화반 (Basic Conversational Korean) for those who are interested in Korean language and culture. We are looking forward to meeting you soon. Here are the basic information for registration.

[The 2018 Understanding Korea Essay Contest]

1. The Center for International Affair at AKS is the home of the Understanding Korea Project, which seeks to correct inaccurate information on and improve contents about Korea in foreign textbooks. The 2018 Understanding Korea Essay Contest, aimed at promoting interest in Korea-related contents in foreign textbooks and Understanding Korea materials.

2. Themes:
2.1 Image of Korea from the International Point of View
- Images of Korea in foreign instructional materials (foreign textbooks, Internet sites, etc.)
- Proposals on how to improve the image of Korea abroad (Creative ways to improve the image of Korea in your country)

3. Prizes
3.1 Grand Prize (2 Winners): Prize worth 900,000WON
3.2 Excellence Prize (4 Winners): Prize worth 300,000WON
3.3 Participation Prize (6 Winners): Prize worth 150,000WON

4. Application Period: 1 June - 31 July

Johannesburg Korean School opens the new Korean class for beginners next Saturday, 20 Jan 2018!
You are most welcome to join us!
* Tuition: R1000 per term (8~9 lessons depending on schedule of the each term)
* Text book: R200 for 2 books that we are going to use for a year.
* Time: 9:00 am ~ 12:00 pm (followed by little chat for about 30min, not compulsory)

Please be advised that you will be required to register on the first day of the term at the School where payment will be made.
