Building the Future of Insurance Skills: INSETA’s Three-Layered Strategy for 27/28 FY!True sectoral transformation is built from the ground up. The Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA) recently completed a comprehensive, three-layered strategic planning process designed to lock in impactful targets for the 2027/28 Financial Year (FY).This collaborative journey successfully bridged the gap between frontline expertise and board-level governance across three distinct phases:

Layer 1: The Technical CatalystThe process kicked off at the operational grassroots with our Specialists and Program Managers. This cohort analyzed frontline performance metrics and diagnosed real-time market realities to put forward data-driven tactical proposals.

Layer 2: The Operational FilterNext, the Extended Executive and Management Team stepped in to pressure-test these proposals. They synthesized the raw data into distinct strategic pillars, aligning operational goals with budget frameworks and impactful joint ventures.

Layer 3: The Governance Apex (24–25 August)The entire build-up culminated in our intensive INSETA Board Strategic Session. Moving from operational concepts to high-level policy directives, the Board formally endorsed the 2027/28 blueprint—ensuring our upcoming targets actively safeguard our high governance standards and build upon our recent improvement on the audit milestones(unqualified audit with 100% performance achievement.
