Happy Youth Month, South Africa!

Youth Month is a time to celebrate the courage, resilience, and potential of young people across our nation. It also serves as a reminder of the role that youth have played in shaping South Africa's history and the responsibility we all share in creating opportunities for future generations.

This month, we honour the voices of young people, recognise their achievements, and reaffirm our commitment to supporting their growth through education, leadership, and empowerment.

As we celebrate Youth Month, let us continue investing in our youth, encouraging their dreams, and creating spaces where they can thrive and make a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond.

The future belongs to the youth, let us empower them to lead it.

"Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself." - John Dewey

Deloitte Volunteer Day at Thulani Secondary School, in partnership with TEACH SA, was a meaningful investment in the future of young people.

Through interactive sessions on CV writing, interview preparation, and professional communication, learners gained practical skills to help them navigate future opportunities with confidence. The day also provided valuable exposure to career pathways in finance, technology, and consulting, helping learners broaden their horizons and envision new possibilities for their futures.

What stood out most was the enthusiasm, curiosity, and ambition displayed by the learners throughout the day. Their engagement served as a powerful reminder that when young people are given access to knowledge, mentorship, and opportunity, they are empowered to shape their own futures and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
