She wrote the Afrikaans Handbook and Study Guide in 1999 from her awareness of the need for such a book. Based on the success of this book, in 2002 she wrote the English Handbook and Study Guide with Marcelle Pincus, a legendary figure in English and Speech and Drama circles. When Kevin Smith, a young Engineer who is passionate about Maths and Science, approached her with his Maths Book, she knew that this was the core of the Maths Handbook and Study Guide. Berlut Books now also has an Accounting Handbook & Study Guide for High school Students by Simeon Mantel which has gained remarkable interest from Educators and pupils.
