What a great way to finish the June exam season! Our students enjoyed a round robin of soccer games today.

Then the soccer team played a friendly match against Beaulieu College. Our boys played with sportsmanship, passion and skill during the match - enjoying a win of 3 - 2! ⚽️

This Youth Day we remember the sacrifices and bravery of our youth. We celebrate our national commitment to empowering our Youth in education and skills development.

As part of our ECD workplace training this term, each of the students researched and presented an appropriate creative activity for the nursery school children that we visit weekly.

They took on the role of teachers, gaining practical experience and applying their theoretical knowledge in a real classroom setting.

It was fantastic to see them engaging with the young learners with flexibility and patience.

Thank you again to The Talk Shop and Beaulieu Nursery School for giving our students this invaluable practical experience 🙏

Some of our students enjoyed playing sport after writing their exam papers today. Thank you to Solly Sigubudu for organising more soccer kits for our soccer team! 🙌

Thanks also to TennisDuo for a great term of tennis! It's great to see our students grow and improve in this sport. 🎾

Our Woodworking & Timber students demonstrated commendable progress in their craftsmanship this term.

Year 1 students produced pencil holders, while Year 2 students constructed trays. These projects focused on fundamental woodworking skills and applying appropriate finishes.

Year 3 students manufactured bar stools and Year 4's created chess boards.

These more advanced projects required higher-level competencies such as design, drafting cutting lists, accurate measuring and cutting to required sizes - making functional and aesthetically pleasing projects!

Our Agricultural Studies students have been hard at work this term, developing their practical skills through a variety of hands-on activities:

Soil preparation & composting
Propagation
Planting & Weeding
Irrigation
Harvesting crops
Worm farming
Fencing
Operating agricultural tools

It is assessment season and at EduStreams our students proudly show us what they have learnt in their skills subjects.

Our Year 2 Beauty & Nail Technology learners successfully completed their Manicure and Pedicure practical examinations, demonstrating their skills in nail care, hygiene, and treatment procedures.

The Year 4 learners showcased their creativity and advanced techniques by completing nail art designs; using both gel and nail polish 💅

Yesterday the EduStreams family came together to compete in the annual Family Day Potjie Competition! 🔥

This year it had an 'Around the World' theme 🌎

EduStreams School transformed into a hive of activity with fires, music, laughter, sunshine and teamwork. Everyone working together to represent a country of choice and competing to cook a winning potjie.

I’m Nick Hamman and make no mistake, this was one of the most meaningful meals I’ve had in a long time. 🍽️ Today I attended a lunch prepared by the Year 4 learners of EduStreams in Midrand, a school for students who learn differently and beautifully. Every course told a story of resilience, creativity, and purpose. From the incredible food to the confidence these kids showed in the kitchen, it was impossible not to leave inspired.
