What an incredible journey it has been for our MPS Chess Team!

We are extremely proud of all our players who have represented our school with determination, excellent sportsmanship, perseverance, and true team spirit throughout the Chess League Playoffs.

Both our A Team and B Teamcompeted with great enthusiasm and gave their very best in every match. After a fantastic performance in Round 1, our A Team qualified for the next stage, where they continued to make us proud.

We are now thrilled to announce that our Chess A Team finished in 2nd place in the Steve Tshwete Chess Competition**, earning their place in the next round! 🎉👏

The team will now have the honour of representing our school in Ermelo on 22 August, where they will compete against some of the best teams in the region.

Reaching this stage is a wonderful achievement and a testament to the hard work, dedication, teamwork, and perseverance shown by our learners. Every match, every move, and every challenge has contributed to this proud milestone.

Congratulations to every player who has been part of this incredible journey. You have represented MPS with pride, and we could not be prouder of you! 💙🤍
