🌍 Middelburg College Discovers the Wonders of Istanbul 👏🏼🇹🇷

✨ An unforgettable journey of spices, people, culture and adventure.

Middelburg College recently travelled to the magnificent city of Istanbul, Türkiye, for an unforgettable journey filled with discovery, adventure and enriching cultural experiences.

From the moment the group arrived, Istanbul welcomed them with its captivating blend of ancient history, vibrant people, breathtaking sights and unforgettable flavours. Here, East meets West, and centuries of history come alive around every corner.

🌶️ The famous spice markets delighted the senses with colourful displays and exotic aromas, while the warmth and hospitality of the Turkish people made the experience even more memorable.

From exploring historic landmarks and discovering hidden treasures to experiencing traditional food, customs and local culture, every day brought a new adventure and a new opportunity to learn.

For Middelburg College, this journey was about more than simply travelling. It was an opportunity to learn beyond the classroom, experience another culture, broaden horizons and create memories that will last a lifetime.

✨ Istanbul 2026 will forever be remembered as a journey of discovery, friendship, culture and adventure.

What an incredible evening of words, confidence, determination and friendly competition! 💛📚

On 9 September, our Grade 1–7 learners took to the stage for our Middelburg College Spelling Bee Evening, and we could not be prouder of every learner who participated! 🐝🏆

From the youngest spellers in Grade 1 to our senior learners in Grade 7, we witnessed learners think, spell, persevere and believe in themselves. 🌟

A huge congratulations to all our participants for the courage and commitment they showed throughout the competition. 👏🏼💛

🏉🔥 ANOTHER MILESTONE FOR MIDDELBURG COLLEGE RUGBY! 🔥🏉

We are incredibly proud to announce that Sheki Metsoamere has been selected for the Puma U/15 Iqhawe Squad, joining fellow Middelburg College players Akwande Zungu and Uminathi Hadebe! 💪🏉

This means that Middelburg College Rugby now has THREE Puma U/15 Iqhawe players in 2026! 🔥

Our Grade 7 learners had the opportunity to explore different careers, discover new possibilities and start thinking about where their interests and talents could take them. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚖️👩‍💻👨‍🚒👩‍🏫

It was a day filled with inspiration, exciting conversations and valuable insights into the world of work. 💡🌍

Who knows… we may have future doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs, teachers, pilots and leaders sitting in our classrooms today! 🚀
