Someone from our page texted me.
Remember i said i will write my responses in this page so that it can help others.
Uthi uyasaba ukufunda phambi kwe class.
She is scared of participating in front of her classmates.
This was my response ❤
I hope this will help other people who do not have confidence.
First you need to overcome the Fear of your classmates 😊
You did mention that you are sometimes scared to read in front of your classmates.
*These are ways that i think might help you*
1. Participate in class once a day
You can do that by answering a question when you know the answer. Sometimes it's not like you do not know the answer, it's just that you are scared of your classmates but when you know the answer, it is the best time to RAISE YOUR HAND
Even if your answer is wrong, but you did try 😉 which is a good thing.
2. *Stop worrying about other people's opinions*
Remember no one is better than anyone at school. You are all there to learn and your goal is to pass.
Now that you know this, you really do not have to worry about what other learners say about you.
Remember you have goals, put them in your mind. Let your goals control you.
3. *Work on your speaking skills*
You need to improve your language by speaking more.
Ask questions even if the answer is simple, do not hesitate to ask. Remember you need to participate, that is the MAIN goal of overcoming the fear of your mates
4. *Participating will give you good image at school*
Nna i used to do that and that gave me opportunities and i got recognized by my teachers
Another thing is visiting your teachers, maybe ka break
Try to act like you are confused, even if you are not, you will be improving your knowledge, you will be improving your confidence as well as working on your communication skills
5. *Aim to be the smartest Learner in class*
Aiming to be the smartest person in the room isn’t arrogant. It’s called being competitive, being a competitive person will give you an advantage in life. I
