Happy Valentine’s Day❤️❤️❤️❤️
Our little princes and princesses had the sweetest Valentine’s Day at Dinkyland Castle! 💖
At Dinkyland, we believe in spreading love every day because love truly makes the world go round. Our wonderful parents wrote heartfelt love letters to their children, and our teachers shared those special messages with the kids—filling the day with smiles, giggles, and warm hugs.
Watching their faces light up reminded us that even the smallest hearts can hold the biggest love. 💕
“Love is the magic that turns little moments into big memories.” 💌

✨ What an amazing Parent Evening at Dinkyland! ✨
Our parents jumped right into the fun — playing, laughing, and exploring just like their little ones do every day. Through these joyful activities, they experienced firsthand how children learn best: through play, creativity, and discovery.
The room was filled with laughter and smiles! 😊
At Dinkyland, our parents are true partners. Together with our teachers, they work as a team to support our little princes and princesses to express themselves freely, grow in confidence, and explore the world around them.
💛 When school and families work together, magic happens ❤️😀

Hand children a few simple materials and watch the magic happen ✨
When we give preschoolers open-ended items—blocks, boxes, art supplies, loose parts—and the freedom to explore, they don’t just play, they design, test, imagine, and solve problems.
Our role as teachers isn’t to show them what to make, but to facilitate the process:
🌱 Ask open questions
🌱 Encourage their ideas
🌱 Support when they get stuck
🌱 Celebrate their thinking
When children build for themselves, they build confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills that last far beyond the classroom. 💛

♦️WEDNESDAY WISDOM - DEEP PRESSURE♦️
Deep pressure activities are crucial for children because they provide proprioceptive input that calms the nervous system, reduces anxiety, and helps regulate emotions during stress or overstimulation.
These activities - such as hugging, deep massage, or heavy work -improve body awareness, coordination, and attention while helping children feel safe, secure, and grounded.
Why Deep Pressure Activities are Important:
❗️Emotional Regulation & Calming:
Deep pressure, often called "proprioceptive input," calms the autonomic nervous system, moving it from a "fight or flight" state to a calmer, more relaxed state. It is effective in reducing anxiety, hyperactivity and sensory overload.
❗️Improved Body Awareness & Coordination:
These activities help children understand where their bodies are in space which improves coordination and motor planning.
❗️Increased Focus and Attention:
By helping to center and organize a child’s sensory system, these activities can increase focus, allowing them to engage better with schoolwork and daily tasks.
❗️Improved Sleep and Reduced Stress:
Studies show deep pressure can decrease cortisol (stress hormone) while increasing serotonin and dopamine, leading to improved mood and better sleep preparation.
❗️Sensory Modulation:
For children with sensory processing differences, deep pressure helps them handle sensory overload by providing firm, consistent, and reassuring input.
Below is a picture of classroom activities to enhance deep pressure for better concentration and regulation. 💪
Want more than 400 deep pressure activities that can be done with babies, preschoolers and primary school children on a weekly basis to support their development? Then EduMove is the PERFECT GO-TO program for all the children in your school! 🏆👣🎯
