Friday Fun at Pro Gratia ๐
At Pro Gratia, we believe that a little fun goes a long way! From lending a hand in the garden ๐ฑ to getting competitive with a game of tug of war, thereโs never a dull moment.
Through fun, work, and play, weโre building skills, teamwork, and confidence in so many different ways. ๐ช
Learning doesnโt only happen in the classroomโit happens in every laugh, every challenge, and every shared moment.

At Pro Gratia, we believe in celebrating every learner and the unique challenges they face with courage and resilience. Today, we observed Epilepsy Day.
Epilepsy is a neurological condition that affects the brain and causes recurring seizures. These seizures happen due to sudden bursts of electrical activity in the brain and can present in different ways โ from brief staring spells to more noticeable physical convulsions. While some individuals can manage their condition with medication, epilepsy can still be unpredictable and, in some cases, life-threatening.
Despite these challenges, many people with epilepsy lead full and meaningful lives with the right support and care.
We honour and salute our learners who face this condition every day with strength and determination. You inspire us all. ๐

In Memory of Monique
As a school, we treasure and miss Teacher Monique, the memories she left behind after her unfortunate passing on 18 September 2024. She was a member of the Pro Gratia Team for over 8 years.
The footprints Monique's legacy left behind will always be seen in our school and in our hearts... Monique's bright personality and her unwavering support with all the tasks at hand will never be forgotten.
So for us, it was a great privilege when Monique's two sisters, Shanique and Chanel, came up with the idea to plant a hedge along a pathway she frequently walked, in her memory.
We, as a school, also want to thank NTT White River for the beautiful plants and a memorial plaque they donated. This beautiful act from her sisters brought us together as a team again.
Monique will be forever loved and will never be forgotten.
Thank you, Shanique, Chanel, the De Jager Family, and NTT Toyota White River, for this very special morning in the lives of Pro Gratia.
Love, The Pro Gratia Team ๐.

From the bottom of my heart,
When Pro Gratia began in 2015, we never dreamed it would blossom into the incredible place it is today. Through all the highs and lows, and even the winds of change, I stand incredibly proud to say that Pro Gratia has become a beautiful sanctuary where all in need can truly find their own voice.
First and foremost, I thank God for the daily strength, hope, and love we find within His Grace. My deepest gratitude goes out to the key persons in our community โ our unwavering supporters and sponsors who have backed us through the years. A very special thank you to our directors, Jan Strydom and Andri Bester, for their invaluable leadership.
To all the parents and learners who have been part of our journey, both past and present, you have filled our hearts. We are immensely proud of every single learner who has been, and continues to be, a part of our family. And to every staff member, both past and present, your unwavering support, insights, care, and love are the bedrock of Pro Gratia. Without you, we simply wouldn't be here.
May the next 11 years and beyond be truly blessed, and may we be privileged to continue to offer our support and help to all who need us.
Blessings
Welma Bezuidenhout
