Hey TUTzens
The Directorate of Health and Wellness at the Mbombela Campus hosted a TB Awareness Campaign under the theme: “Find it. Treat it. Beat TB. Together we can end TB.” The aim of the campaign was to raise awareness about tuberculosis, encouraging early detection and promoting healthier communities on campus.
Students and staff were given access to a range of free health services, including TB screening, chest X-rays, sputum collection, HIV testing, STI screening and family planning services. The initiative encouraged everyone to know their health status and seek help early as TB is treatable when detected in time.

Hey TUTzens!
Today, our Mbombela Campus Rector together with her campus colleagues distributed sweets to students preparing for their June exams - a modest gesture with a big message: you've got this!
Nelson Mandela once reminded us:
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
To all of our students, may these treats be a source of inspiration, reminding you that every late night, every page read, and every struggle overcome is building your future. Keep striving; triumph is nigh!

Hey TUTzens
We sat down with Dr Eric P**e, Director of the Advancement and Partnerships Office, to unpack the vision behind TUT’s annual fundraising initiative.
Established four years ago, the programme was created as a direct response to the financial struggles of students who fall outside NSFAS funding - especially those in the “missing middle” and students burdened by historical debt that blocks them from graduating or receiving their qualifications.
The initiative seeks to mobilise support from alumni, staff, and external donors to bridge this gap and ensure that no deserving student is left behind. To date, it has helped over 800 students complete their studies - a powerful testament to what the TUT community can achieve when we come together.
Every contribution counts in turning financial barriers into academic success.

Hey TUTzens!
We are teeing off in the stunning province of Mpumalanga for the Annual TUT Mbombela Fundraising Golf Day, hosted by the Advancement and Partnerships Office.
This special initiative is all about creating real opportunities for our students - especially those in the Missing Middle - who need financial support to complete their studies. Every swing, every sponsorship, and every partnership brings us closer to ensuring no deserving student is left behind.
Today, the TUT community, corporate partners, and valued stakeholders stand together in support of one powerful goal: helping our students thrive and succeed.
Let’s turn goodwill into greatness!
