Citizenship is also learned in the field. 🌱
That's exactly what students from several Enko schools experienced in Senegal, coming together around a major issue: the fight against plastic pollution.
After a visit to the National Assembly, they stepped into the shoes of lawmakers through our flagship activity, the Eco-Citizen Parliament: drafting bills, debating, negotiating, and defending positions.
Then came time for action: a beach clean-up and a visit to a recycling facility, before soaking up the history and cultural richness of the country in Dakar, on the island of Gorée, in Saint-Louis and La Somone.
A week of learning, exchange, and hands-on engagement that fully reflects Enko Education’s ambition: to shape informed citizens who understand the challenges of their time and are ready to act for a more sustainable future.
