📌 Old syllabus (2007 or earlier): Exams in June only, can change/add subjects
📌 New syllabus (2009–2024): Exams in June or November, only rewrite subjects already written
📌 Students without Matric (21+): Exams in June, choose any subjects (except Life Orientation)
📌 Foreign students: Must have a valid study permit

📅 November exams Register before 6 March 2026

Written Matric before → ID + Statement of Results

No Matric → school reports

🎓 2026 MATRIC REWRITE REGISTRATION NOW OPEN – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Planning to rewrite your Matric? Here is important information to guide you:

✅ Old Syllabus (2007 and earlier):
• Write exams in June only
• Allowed to change or add subjects

✅ Students without Matric (21 years and older):
• Write in June only
• May choose any subjects offered (excluding Life Orientation)

✅ New Syllabus (2009–2024):
• Can write in June or November
• ❌ No changing or adding subjects
• Only rewrite subjects previously written

🌍 Foreign Students:
• A valid study permit is compulsory before registration

📅 Important Dates:
• May/June registration closes: 7 February 2025
• November exams: DHET closing date still pending (usually mid-March)

📄 Required Documents:
• Students who wrote Matric before: ID copy + Statement of Results (NOT certificate)
• Students without Matric: School reports (any grades)

🔔 Important Note:
If your statement shows Life Orientation, you are on the new syllabus and cannot add or change subjects.
