A Moment That Mattered
At the heart of this week's Policy Dialogue on Entrepreneurship Education was a powerful message from Waheeda Carvello, Executive Director of DBE-E3.
Her presentation spotlighted “The Big Picture”: a national process to co-create a policy framework that strengthens youth employability and addresses the alarming unemployment rate among 17–24-year-olds, currently as high as 70%, by infusing entrepreneurship into school curriculums.
This journey is rooted in collaboration, co-creation, and a shared vision.
We’re proud to be part of the action — and to have a voice in the engine room.

“The Big Picture” meets personal passion.
Today’s session was brought to life by the inspiring Waheeda Carvello, Executive Director of DBE-E3, who delivered a powerful message on the importance of South Africa’s national entrepreneurship journey.
In a deeply emotional moment, she shared how she was complimented by delegates from over 60 countries on our SA Curriculum during a visit to the Netherlands — a testament to the global impact of our local innovation. 🇿🇦
Her message wasn’t just informative — it reminded us why we do this work: to build, to connect, and to co-create futures where young South Africans thrive.
From strategic timelines to heartfelt stories, today we saw the blend of structure and soul — and we are honoured to witness it.
