IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL NEW GRADE R ENROLLMENTS 2027
AND NEW APPLICATIONS FOR GRADE 1 2027
Learners that are already enrolled in Grade R in 2026 automatically qualify to be in Grade 1 at the same school, no need to apply Online.
Applications for the 2027 academic year in Limpopo are processed through the province's newly launched online learner registration system. Applications for entry grades (Grades R, 1, and 8) officially open on July 27, 2026 and will close at the end of August 2026. The digital platform aims to eliminate long queues and long-distance travel, allowing parents and guardians to apply from their smartphones or computers. Steps and Guidelines for Applying Where to Apply: Access the zero-rated platform or portal via the Limpopo Department of Education website. Required Documents: To complete your application, you will need to upload certified copies of the following documents: Parent or guardian's South African ID. Learner's birth certificate. Latest school report (or immunization card for Grade R). Proof of residence. Offline/In-Person Assistance: If you do not have a smartphone, data, or require scanning assistance, you can call the toll-free number provided on the department's website, or visit your nearest school or Circuit office for designated offline application support.

It is with great sorrow that we learned of the passing of Mr. BJ Erasmus, our esteemed former principal. His impact on Marken Primary School will endure, and he will be remembered fondly.
