Nearing completion of a big rammed earth wall for the Helderberg visitors center. We have built this wall with a team of 12, with Regardt Kenny, managing the site and with his company Ecowerks workforce and a few of my experienced rammers completed the wall in four weeks. Material design was done by Simplysustainable with assistance from Hans Brink. This is going to make a magical music venue with the massive 70cm thick rammed earth walls.

A sustainable Practice requires a revit architect to work on diverse project in remote and unusual locations. Most architecture will be natural building with a predominance of rammed earth.

I have been Off-grid for ten years, using solar panels and a windturbine, that I built from scratch. Here it furls in strong winds, with the tail being lifted up, and the blades turned out of the wind to protect itself. When the wind slows gravity will lower the tail and the blades will be 90 degrees to the wind.
