LETSATSING SHINES AT THE FINALS OF INTERNATIONAL SAICE BRIDGE BUILDING COMPETITION

The school went head to head with 21 well recognised schools at an International SAICE Bridge Building Competion, winning Position 5. This cements the ability of the school not only locally but internally as one of the best amongst the best.

Team Letsatsing has definately represented the school, the North West Province and our country- South Africa well.

NWU SCIENCE CENTRE CONDUCTS PRACTICALS WITH GRADE 12 LEARNERS

August 19, 2026 our school had the privile to host the NWU Science Centre, which conducted practical session with our Grade 12 learners on Electric Circuits and Internal Resistance.

The session provided learners with an opportunity to move beyond theory and engage in meaningful, hands on experimentation. It was inspiring to see our learners actively participating, investigating, taking measurements and connecting classroom concepts to real practical applications. 👩🏽‍🔬👨🏽‍🔬

The programme was also graced by the presence of our Subject Specialist, Ms Seanyane, who visited the school as part of her monitoring responsibilities. Her presence and support added great value to the programme.

We sincerely appreciate the NWU Science Centre for sharing their expertise and contributing towards the development of our learners' practical skills.

The school is currently competing at an international stage at the SAICE International Bridge Building Competition with other countries for international honours.

The competition officially started the FINALS today, 21 August 2026. Mr Velemane and his team, we wish you all the best in this International Competition 🙏.

ALUMNI TALK A SUCCESS

The school on the 15th August 2026, was honoured by former learners of Letsatsing Science Secondary School from class of 2008: Keabetswe Pholo who is now a Civil Engineer and
Keneilwe Pholo who is a Geologist, both doing great things in their professions.

Through the school's Alumni Programme, both the Pholo sisters delivered an inspirational talk to the Class of 2026 Matriculants, leaving them highly motivated and inspired to excel in their studies.

LETSATSING TAKES PART IN ESKOM SCIENCE EXPO

14th AUGUST 2026: Our Learner represented the school in Eskom Science Expo's Regional Competitions with a very innovative project, however did not proceed to the next stage.

On the Same day Our Science Departmental Head, Ms Rakosa, was awarded a certificate of long service in Expo competitions, recognizing her contribution in this competition.

NATIONAL DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH VISITS THE SCHOOL

The school today, 12 August 2026, was graced by two officials from the National Department of Health to impart much needed career and bursary information session to Grade 12 learners.

This very important session left many learners more informed about career choices as they prep for tertiary life next year.
