🔬 National Science Week 2026 | Inspiring the Next Generation of Scientists 🚀

The Onkabetse Thuto Maths, Science and Technology Department, in collaboration with the Ratlou LEO Physical Sciences and the North-West University (NWU) Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (FNAS), successfully hosted a National Science Week programme for Grade 10–12 learners.

The event featured engaging career presentations, a career exhibition, guidance on how to apply for university, and exciting science experiments that brought scientific concepts to life.

The primary aim of the programme was to educate learners about diverse career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) while inspiring and nurturing their interest in science. Learners were empowered with valuable information to help them make informed subject and career choices, as well as gain a better understanding of higher education opportunities.

A heartfelt thank you to all the presenters, exhibitors, educators and learners who contributed to making this event a great success. Together, we are building a future driven by innovation, curiosity and scientific excellence.

Yesterday was a truly special day at Onkabetse Thuto as the staff came together to surprise our beloved Headmaster on his birthday! 🎉🎂
