What a day! We are so incredibly proud of our Chazon Tekna learners who took part in the Cross Country at Badplaas today.

They ran with determination, courage and plenty of Chazon spirit — and those smiles afterwards say it all! 🏅

Every learner who stepped onto that course gave us a reason to be proud. It’s not only about where you finish; it’s about showing up, giving your best and finishing what you started.

Our school is proud to host part of the MBMS Arts Festival each year. This festival is an important event for our community because it brings art, culture, and creative expression to our small town. Events like this give our children the opportunity to experience music, dance, theatre, and creativity in a meaningful way.

Our partnership with The Forgotten Angle Theatre Collaborative (FATC) plays a very important role in making this possible.

Throughout certain months of the year, FATC works with our learners, training them in dance and rhythm while also teaching valuable life skills. These programmes go beyond the arts and include lessons about agriculture, environmental awareness, and responsible practices such as recycling.

The partnership is also beneficial to the school itself. By hosting training programmes and activities, FATC hires our venue, which generates additional income for the school.

Most importantly, this collaboration allows our children to grow in confidence, creativity, teamwork, and self-expression while strengthening the cultural life of our community.

We are grateful to FATC for their continued support and look forward to another inspiring MBMS Arts Festival together.

Every year, arrives just as the season begins to shift.

It feels like summer’s last bow.

has become our turning point. A celebration that gathers the last sparks of summer and sends them off in style before the colder season settles over Emakhazeni.

We celebrate the last bright colours, the last kiss of warm sunshine before the winter cold creeps in to chill our bones.

Shortly after, winter steps in properly.
Not abruptly. Not unkindly. Just steadily.

But thankrulky, we have the bright and comforting memory of a festival full of flavour and light, to keep us warm on cold winter's nights.
