Dear friends, this is Mariza's husband posting this. I want to thank you all for loyally supporting Mariza and KidzArt over the past 6 years. It was her dream to have an art school that would be a blessing to kids, and it has just been that. Please know that she loves each kid who passed through her hands. It has been the hardest decision for my wife, with many tears, to make the decision to not continue this year with KidzArt classes. It is our prayer that one day she will again have the time to continue KidzArt. Thank you for all the love and support. Gideon Joubert

We are proud to say that we had about 50 entries from KidZart School and La Mia Nuvoletta Art Studio for the Eisteddfod this year. Between our two art schools students were awarded 15 Diplomas, 35 gold certificates and 6 silver certificates. Mienke Burger and Leeanne v Heerden also came out to be category winners for their age groups, while Chanté Liebenberg ( La Mia Nuvoletta) was awarded a prestige award as overall best senior art student at the gala evening! KidZart was also awarded a certificate for one of the Top 10 institutions who participated. Thanks to all the beautiful work that the students produced!

We're in the last stretch of this year! Here is what we've been up to! Some of the wax crayon resist pics!

using wax crayons to colour with after preliminary drawing and then going over with black or dark coloured water paint (creates contrasts) The composition was done from a pot of sunflowers that was set up, not pictures! I believe this gives the beauty and charm to these artworks!

Some kids had extra time to do some work for the Santam art competition! Here are the colourful results(drawing with paintbrush! -no preliminary drawing) The theme was,
" A Burst of colour"
