*Month 2: Planting and Maintenance*

1. Seed selection and planting techniques
2. Crop care and management (fertilization, pruning, etc.)
3. Pest management and integrated pest management (IPM) strategies
4. Basic equipment operation (tractors, plows, etc.)
5. Record keeping and farm management basics

*Month 3: Harvest and Marketing*

1. Harvesting techniques and timing
2. Post-harvest handling and storage
3. Marketing and sales strategies (direct-to-consumer, wholesale, etc.)
4. Value-added product creation (jam-making, etc.)
5. Season extension techniques (greenhouses, cold frames, etc.)

*Course Delivery*

- In-person classes at a local farm or agricultural center
- Online sessions with virtual field trips and interactive discussions
- Hybrid model with both in-person and online components

*Target Audience*

- Beginners with little to no farming experience
- Urban farmers and backyard gardeners looking to scale up
- Career changers interested in agriculture
- Young farmers and ranchers looking to start their own operation

New 1 month training available for young people thinking of working in the agri environment on a farm.
The opportunity is in Potch.
There are 4 aspects involved:
- Tractor and implement training
- Hand tools, Welding and Metal work
- Farming principles (focussed on vegetables)
- Actual work on a vegetable farm

Why a vegetable farm?
It is labor intensive. Have to work intensively with the ground and the plants.. The vegetable planting and harvesting is happening on a small scale, with a lot of ground still having to be prepared. Perfect environment for training!
