Stands 95% Sold Out – Under 30 Days To Opening
Cannabis is big business. The versatile cannabis plant, which has a huge variety of uses, is making waves globally in industries across the business spectrum. In less than 30 days, the Mother City plays host to the largest cannabis event on the African continent.
After the successful South African launch of The Cannabis Expo in 2018, a trade and consumer exhibition dedicated to the cannabis industry, at Time Square in Menlyn, Pretoria, the historic event is now heading to GrandWest in Cape Town from 4 - 7 April. Proudly headlined by multinational healthcare group, Go Life International, the Cape Town expo is already over twice the size of the inaugural event and is expected to draw record crowds.
“The Cannabis Expo to be held in Cape Town has already sold out 95% of the exhibitor stands, with the show more than doubling in size, and over 110 exhibitors representing all aspects of the industry,” says expo director, Silas Howarth. “The demand has been massive, with many new international exhibitors joining the best of the local cannabis-related industry, making for a very exciting and diverse event for Cape Town visitors.”
The Cannabis Expo Cape Town includes an exhibitor hall, networking and entertainment spaces as well as featuring a convention stage and workshop hosting local and international experts from across the industry every half-hour throughout the expo. It is the largest exhibition of its kind on the African continent, and due to a number of reasons, such as this country’s liberal laws, geographic climate, population demographics, and the wide array of cultures, South Africa is expected to become one of the largest cannabis industry marketplaces in the world.
“The opportunities within the industry are endless, however up until now; there hasn’t been a central place for cannabis-related products to be marketed, and for education and information around cannabis to be shared. The Cannabis Expo provides a perfect platform and opportunity for businesses and interested parties within the industry,” states Howarth.
With such a variety of cannabis-related products and services already legally on the market, The Cannabis Expo hosts businesses and professionals from all sectors of the industry: healthcare, medicinal, growing, harvesting and processing technologies, product retailers and innovators, legislation groups and government departments.
The Cannabis Expo 2019 takes place in Sun Exhibits at GrandWest, in Cape Town.
