Megatude Education in conjunction with Megatude Global Youth Club hosted a Cupcakes of Hope Party last Saturday on International Childhood Cancer Awareness Day at The Square Mall in Ladysmith.
Megatude Education is focused on empowering and inspiring learners to reach their highest potential so when we heard about Cupcakes of Hope (10 days ago) we really wanted to help raise funds for this wonderful organisation. Once the intention was set, we stayed focused on our goal to raise funds for kids diagnosed with cancer although we had literally one week to plan for the event, everything felt into place beautifully.
The senior citizens that attend the computer classes at Megatude were very eager to assist and our learners and facilitators were also very excited to be a part of such a wonderful event. In addition to receiving cash donations and a wonderful lady offering to bake the 200 cupcakes, we started receiving more support from the local community where people offered to bake and bring cupcakes. As more people heard about the event, they wanted to contribute towards this cause. It was really heart-warming as we all got together and decorated the cupcakes, made cancer awareness pins and other novelties at Megatude Education Centre.
The community members really opened up their hearts and wallets to support this cause. Our learners and facilitators worked really hard to make the event a success. A colourful sense of love and compassion was evoked in all and everyone was very excited to be a part of this wonderful experience.
The remaining set of beautifully designed cupcakes where lovingly donated to a children's home therefore bringing joy to the less fortunate kids as well.
We are very grateful to The Square Mall in Ladysmith for allowing us to utilise the space downstairs for the event. We are very thankful to all the people that supported us in both cash and kind. We are very grateful to the Ladysmith community as a whole for supporting the event. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you… Megatude Education thanks you with all our Heart..
A total of R5000 was raised during the Cupcakes of Hope Party in Ladysmith and donated to the Cupcakes of Hope Organisation.

3. Must have previously done the subject(s) that you wish to facilitate at Megatude, in high school or at college / university.

5. Must be reliable, trustworthy and loyal.
6. Enthusiastic to participate in our youth & community projects.
7. Must be a good team player.
8. Must be dedicated to offering quality education.
Megatude Education believes in motivating, inspiring and training individuals to become future leaders with good morale, high academics and a strong emotional background. We pride ourselves in offering high quality education to not only empower our learners to reach their highest academic potential but to also bridge the gap that exists between high school, university and the job market.
