Leadership involvement in primary schools plays a vital role in shaping learners’ academic, social, and personal development. Effective school leaders, teachers, parents, and learner leaders work together to create a supportive environment where learners feel valued, guided, and motivated to succeed. Leadership encourages learners to develop important qualities such as responsibility, discipline, confidence, respect, teamwork, and decision-making skills. When learners are given opportunities to participate in school activities, take leadership responsibilities, and contribute to decisions that affect them, they develop a sense of ownership and become more accountable for their behaviour and learning. Strong leadership involvement also helps identify learners’ needs and provides the necessary support to ensure that every child has an opportunity to reach their full potential.
