Our holding company, Dammann Musik, was established in 2003 in Pretoria. We have relocated to Lady Grey and will operate under the Lady Grey Music Studio label. Our motto, "Never underestimate a child" proves time and time again that children are capable of achieving results far beyond what they initially thought possible.
Walter specializes on Stimmbildung” or Vocal development and Elma on Subject Music Support, Accompaniment, Adjudication, Music Theory and Percussion such as marimba and marching bands.

About Walter Dammann:
Walter received his didactic singing training in Germany and South Africa. His singing teachers include Madam Xenia Belmas, Ellka Mitzewa, Barbara Knox, Carla Pohl and Louis Botha of the Black Tie Ensemble. Walter served as official vocal trainer for subject music students at Hoёrskool Wonderboom, St. Alban’s College, St Peter’s College, Reddam House Waterfall, Lady Grey Arts Academy, Sterkspruit Christian School and Cowan House. His Grade 12 students scored some of the highest marks recorded for practical during the DBE and IEB year-end examinations.
About Elma Dammann:
Elma is a professional accompanist who prepares students for concerts, competitions and music examinations. She was the accompanist and percussion trainer at the Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School from 1990-2001. She was appointed accompanist and Director of the Percussion Academy at St Alban’s College from 2003-2007. In 2011 she rejoined forces with Maestro Christian Ashley-Botha working at Sterkspruit Christian School setting up a choir that went on to win SASCE competitions. Elma has extensive knowledge and experience exceeding 40 years in Class-and Subject Music. She served as Head of Music, inter alia at Afrikaans Hoёr Meisieskool, Hoёrskool Waterkloof, St Mary’s DSG, St Peter’s College, Lady Grey Arts Academy and Reddam House Waterfall. She now devotes her time in a consultative manner to younger teachers who need assistance.
