Her delivery focused on digital transformation with special priority on connectivity, digital skilling, systems integration and cybersecurity.She challenged researchers to interrogate critical societal needs, champion inclusive digital access, and build sustainable, human-centred innovation that delivers measurable public value.

Yesterday, 13th of October 2026, the Moses Kotane Research Institute attended the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) Stakeholder Engagement held at The Pearls in Umhlanga.

The engagement provided an opportunity to strengthen stakeholder relations, foster collaboration and support dialogue on advancing South Africa’s maritime sector. MKRI remains committed to promoting research, innovation and strategic partnerships that contribute to the growth and development of KwaZulu-Natal’s maritime and blue economy.

The Moses Kotane Research Institute (MKRI) attended the Monetary Policy Review Stakeholder Engagement, hosted by the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) at the Durban ICC on 13 October 2026.

The engagement provided an important platform for dialogue on monetary policy, economic developments and their implications for KwaZulu-Natal's economic outlook. Through participation in such engagements, MKRI continues to strengthen its understanding of the economic environment and support evidence-based research and informed decision-making for sustainable economic development in KwaZulu-Natal.
