Illiteracy is inability to speak your own language, it’s lack of knowledge of your roots, it’s lack of knowledge of self. Being educated is not by learning another man’s history. No matter the amount of degrees you have, if you lack knowledge of self, you’re illiterate!

Siyakhuluma Nguni Institute is an institute that is passionate about teaching methods, programmes, training and resources when it comes to learning African languages (currently offering Zulu, Tshivenda and IsiXhosa)

We support parents, teachers and caregivers with effective programmes, methods and resources to teach African languages to young children and adults.

Our methodology focuses on the speaking and listening component.
