Yesterday, our learners had the wonderful opportunity to attend a Science Show hosted by Durban University of Technology (DUT) at Port Shepstone High School, together with schools from across the Ugu District.

Nombuso High School was represented by 14 learners- 7 from Grade 9 and 7 from Grade 12.

As part of the programme, one learner from each grade was selected to represent their grade in a Mathematics Quiz.

🥇Grade 12 Winner: Kwandulwazi Ndelu
🥇Grade 9 Winner: Mihle Mbanjwa

Both learners emerged as winners and walked away with Samsung tablets!

Congratulations, Kwandulwazi and Mihle! You have made Nombuso proud!

Our Grade 8 learners had the exciting opportunity to partner with the Durban University of Technology Green Campus Initiative (GCI) in establishing a vegetable garden at Nombuso High School.

This activity taught our learners the importance of environmental sustainability and caring for the environment while encouraging teamwork and responsibility.

We extend our appreciation to the DUT Green Campus Initiative for donating the seedlings and sharing their knowledge with our learners.

Today, we had the privilege of welcoming Durban University of Technology to Nombuso High School. The team engaged our Grade 12 learners in an informative and inspiring session about university life, residence life, the application process, and the wide range of courses available.

The session equipped our learners with knowledge to help them make informed decisions as they prepare for life after matric.
