Fundamentals Online Preschool Fundamentals was founded by a qualified teacher with 22 years’ experience teaching preschool in a classroom.

As more and more parents begin to explore their home-schooling options for educating their children, sometimes there is concern that the level of education may not compare to that of a brick and mortar school. As a teacher, I firmly believe that children learn best by being actively involved. Here at Fundamentals, we have managed to incorporate technology while sticking firmly to an "old school,"

hands on approach to preschool education. Fundamentals is a Christian Preschool, and we are very excited to have incorporated Bible education into our curriculum. The building blocks to excellence in early childhood education.

• Classes take place Monday to Friday mornings.
• 2 hour classes with short breaks between subjects for Grade 00 (4-
5yrs) and Grade R (5-6 yrs.)
• 30 minute classes for Grade 000 (3-4 yrs.)
• Maximum 10 children per class.
• SUBJECTS: Literacy, Numeracy, Life Skills, Art, Science, Bible
Education and story time (most stories read from real books) "old
school style."
• CAPS curriculum
• Fun, interactive, LIVE lessons which include worksheets, music,
speaking, listening, drawing, writing, painting, crafting,
science experiments, concrete learning and more.
• Lessons take place on Zoom. Worksheets for the week are emailed
to the parents in advance for printing. As the students complete
their worksheets, the teacher uses annotation on screen to guide
them every step of the way.
• ART CRAFT SUPPLIES AND THE PREVIOUS MONTH'S REWARD
STICKERS WILL BE COURIERED TO YOU EVERY MONTH IN
ADVANCE, INCLUDED IN THE FEES.
• All term end assessments and reports included.
• NO need to register for home-schooling with the Department of
Education.
• No school fees due throughout school holidays (Pro rata fees
apply).

We learned about animal homes and our spyglass activity was by far the most exciting of all. The kids loved pressing a drinking glass on a bag full of murky blue water to find the sea creatures placed underneath. As they spotted each creature, they had to circle it on a 2nd sheet on the side. It was so much fun. Our Autumn theme ushered us into the season with loads of fun and creativity. We learnt about and focused on the 4 autumn colours, red, orange, yellow and brown which we used throughout most of our activities.
