🚨 RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT DRUG USE & COMMUNITY SAFETY 🚨
Last Monday, our school had the privilege of hosting representatives from various organisations, including the South African Police Service (SAPS), Department of Social Development, Community Development, and a Rehabilitation Centre.
The visit focused on raising awareness among our learners about the dangers of drug use and addiction, and how substance abuse can negatively affect individuals, families, schools and the wider community. 🧠💙
The representatives also encouraged and motivated learners who may have already started using drugs to make the decision to stop, seek help and choose a healthier path for their future. The message was clear: it is never too late to change your life and ask for support. 🙏
As part of strengthening community safety, the visit also included the formation of a new Community Safety Committee, aimed at bringing different stakeholders together to work towards creating a safer and healthier environment for our learners and community. 🤝🏽
We would like to sincerely thank all the organisations and representatives who took the time to engage with our learners and share such an important message.
Together, we can educate, support, protect and empower our young people to make positive choices. 💙
