Dear parents
I take this opportunity to just say thank you for your support and trust in us at maja. Thank you to those who regularly pay their school fees🙏.
We are and have been going through really difficult times so I feel it's important that I can assure you of what goes on at school.
We are extremely diligent in keeping the classes...the grounds...the facilities clean and sanitized. We ensure that we get our vaccinations as soon as we are eligible. We ensure that everyone entering the premises wear masks and disinfect hands.
The children are assisted at toilet times and are encouraged to wash hands regularly. We have specific times for that to ensure handwashing is done at least 4 times a day.
We always have the proper soap as well as paper towels ready for each child. Every day tables and equipment are washed with sanitizer.
We also try our best to social distance so we can ensure protection for everyone.
We have very limited space due to the distancing of pupils but they are absolute little stars by wearing masks and not touching each other🙏 be proud of your children and encourage this at home. We've had extremely cold weather so sniffles will happen....but I can assure you we are hyper aware of any such developments.
Your child's temperature gets measured every day. You will be notified of anything we suspect may be a problem.
I encourage parents to come and see us with any concern you may have or phone us or make us aware. I can assure you we are very busy.
Also understand that teachers get sick and then the day is Topsy turns but children are never left unsupervised.
Gates are locked at 8h30...especially the big gate.
Children start work in class at 8h00 after toilet...handwashing etc.
We keep to a strict structure.
