Before we get too excited about reopening of the school especially grade 12, let's note this, the Minister of Basic Education MRS Angie Motshekga will speak at 16:00 today about the phasing in return to school.
I think that the reopening of grade 7 & 12 will be postponed by a week once again. Yes, my prediction is that the learners will only reopen on the 7th of June 2020.
All will be revealed at 16:00 today, let us wait and see. Please stay on the page for more update, don't forget to invite your friends to follow and like our page.

Information extracted from Government Gazette of the Republic of South Africa Vol. 659 dated 29 May 2020 and signed by the Minister of Basic Education MRS AM Motshekga.
1. Return to school dates for Secondary level.
Grade 12 1 June 2020
Grade 10-11 6 July 2020
Grade 8-9 3 August 2020
2. Those school return dates will only be allowed if the minimum health, safety and social distancing measures on Covid19 regulations are applied.
3. If a parent wishes not to send their children to school must apply for home schooling for the child as according to the South Constitution all children have a right to education.
4. May/June Examination to be administered in November/December 2020.
5. Permits/certificate of travel will be given to learners who needs to have them because of their school travel situation.
6. Learners, teachers and any other person entering the school will be screened and sanitisers will always be visible for use in schools. Mask is a must for entry into the school. My advice is that in day 1 make sure you have your clean face mask that covers your mouth and nose.
7. Curriculum or work done is trimmed for other grades, except grade 12. Grade 12 has though been restructured.
8. Social distancing will be implemented in all schools, so timetables will be different to accommodate that. A whole range of timetable models have been proposed and you will see what your school adopted then.
stay on the page .
