Youth Day 2026 - 50 years on
Today, we pause to remember the courageous young people of 1976 who stood up for their right to quality education and helped shape the future of South Africa.

Congratulations, Thuto!
What an incredible achievement for Thuto and his teammate, who proudly represented their MTB Academy at the prestigious Berg & Bush stage race in the Drakensberg this past weekend.
Competing as a pair in their first-ever Berg & Bush event, they tackled a demanding 65 km Stage 1 and 55 km Stage 2, including a challenging 1,100 m of climbing on the final day. Despite being newcomers to the race, they showed remarkable determination, resilience, and teamwork throughout the event.
Their outstanding results speak for themselves:
42nd Overall out of 378 participants
14th Place in the Youth Men category
3rd Place among all Newbie teams
These results are a testament to Thuto's hard work, dedication, and passion for mountain biking. We are incredibly proud of the way he represented his academy and demonstrated that perseverance and commitment lead to success.
Congratulations, Thuto! Your journey is just beginning, and your Alma Mater family is forward to see where your talent and determination take you next.
