🌱 A Little Seedling. A Lot of Love. Little Farmyard Spring Day 🌱
We were originally planning to celebrate our Spring Day tomorrow, but with rain in the forecast, we decided to bring the celebration forward to today. And we are so glad we did! What a beautiful, sunny day it turned out to be!
This year, we decided to do things a little differently. Usually, our children bring plants to school, and we spend the day planting them in our gardens. But this year, we wanted to give each child something special that they could take home, nurture and care for themselves.
A very special thank you to Hadeco, who kindly donated the beautiful terracotta pots for our children. ❤️
The children had the most wonderful time decorating their pots with paint, glitter and all sorts of pretty things before carefully planting their very own seedlings. They watered them, admired them and proudly carried them home, ready to continue caring for their little plants. 🪴
As we looked at all the beautiful flowers around us today, we were reminded once again of just how incredible our Creator is. 🌸
Look at the flowers God has made. Every colour, every shape, every delicate pattern and every tiny detail is different. Some are bright and bold, some soft and delicate, some have intricate markings, and others are wonderfully simple. Yet each one has its own beauty.
God didn't make everything the same. He created variety, individuality and beauty in abundance.
And isn't that exactly what we see in our children?
Every child is wonderfully unique. They each have their own personality, their own gifts, their own little quirks and their own journey of growth. Just as a flower doesn't need to look like another flower to be beautiful, a child doesn't need to be like anyone else to be special.
As we watched our little ones planting their seedlings today, we couldn't help but think about what a plant and a child have in common.
A seedling doesn't become something beautiful overnight. It needs love, patience, care, nourishment, sunshine and someone willing to tend to it every day. Sometimes the growth is so small that we don't even notice it, and then one day we look again and realise just how far it has come. 🌸
Children are much the same.
They need someone to believe in them, encourage them, teach them, guide them and, most importantly, love them. They need patience when they stumble, gentle hands when they need help and plenty of sunshine along the way. ☀️
And just as we cannot pull on a plant to make it grow faster, we cannot rush a child through childhood. We nurture them, give them strong roots, teach them good values and allow them the time and space to grow into the beautiful people God created them to be.

What a beautiful reminder that while we have the privilege and responsibility of nurturing our children, ultimately, God is the One who gives the growth.
Today, our children planted tiny seedlings. But in a much bigger sense, every day at Little Farmyard, we are planting seeds of kindness, confidence, faith, curiosity, compassion and courage in the hearts of our little ones. 💚
We pray that, just like their little plants, our children will grow strong roots, flourish beautifully and become everything God intended them to be.
And, of course, Spring Day wouldn't be Spring Day without plenty of fun! 😄🌸
There was a jumping castle, ice cream, delicious treats, lots of laughter and very happy little faces!🍡
What a wonderful day it was. We are so grateful for these precious moments and for the privilege of watching our little seedlings grow, one beautiful day at a time. 🌱❤️
