🚁 Seth has officially gone SOLO! 🚁

On the 28th of September, at our Cape Winelands base, Seth ticked off a pretty massive milestone - his first solo flight! 🎉

This is one of those moments that makes all the early mornings, hard work, studying, and countless hours in the helicopter completely worth it. Seth puts his whole heart into everything he does, and his dedication and determination have definitely shown throughout his training. We couldn’t be more proud of him! 🫶🏼

But anyone who knows Seth knows that he’s not just hardworking… he’s also one of the funniest people you’ll ever meet 😂 He somehow manages to keep everyone entertained, bring the energy wherever he goes, and make even the most stressful days a little more fun. He definitely knows how to keep the whole crew laughing!

Seth, this is only the beginning of what we know is going to be an incredible journey. Keep working hard, keep bringing the laughs, and most importantly, keep doing what you do best! 🚁

🚁 A huge congratulations to Ross on his first solo flight! 🚁

On the 25th of September at our Cape Winelands Base, Ross achieved an incredible milestone by completing his first solo at just 15 hours! 🎉

Balancing flying with his first year of university is no easy feat, but all his hard work, dedication, and passion have truly paid off. This achievement is a testament to his commitment and determination, and we have no doubt that he has a very bright future ahead of him! 🌟

Ross never fails to impress us, and with his constant smile and ability to light up every room he walks into, he’s an absolute pleasure to have around. ❤️

Well done, Ross! Here’s to many more milestones, adventures, and achievements in the sky. The sky is truly the limit! 🚁💙

🚁 FIRST SOLO | DANIKA BENEKE | 18 YEARS OLD!

Possibly the most entertaining student we’ve ever had. 😂

Danika has us in tears of laughter through most of her flight lessons — but behind all that personality and energy has been some seriously impressive growth.

She did her intro flight while she was still in matric, and the minute school was done, she hit her flight training hard.

Watching her transform from that first intro flight into the young aviator she is becoming has been pretty special. Not only has her flying come a long way, but so has her confidence in herself.

And then came the big one… **FIRST SOLO AT 18!** 🚁🔥

Having the 360 camera in the helicopter for her solo was absolutely epic — and trust us, we could only share a *very* small portion of the Danika experience. 😂

Watch until the end and you’ll understand exactly what we mean. That energy. That excitement. Pure Danika. 🤣🙌

Congratulations, Danika! What a milestone — and what a ride it’s been getting here.

The freedom of a helicopter… this is what it’s all about. 🚁

In this clip from **Hangar Torque**, Hayley talks about one of the things we love most about helicopters — the freedom to actually use them for what they were made for.

To explore. To go somewhere different. To land in places you simply couldn’t otherwise get to.

It’s a big part of why our expeditions, like the Wild Coast, exist.

And as George points out, there’s a lot more happening on these trips than just clocking hours.

Different terrain. Unfamiliar landing sites. Changing conditions. Decisions you don’t encounter flying the same routes at home.
