We are entering the final stretch of the mid-year exams at Calling Academy Kroonstad! 👇

📅 This Week at Calling

📝 Exams Continue:
Exams are still going strong, and we are almost at the finish line. Students are encouraged to continue preparing well, studying hard, and giving their best in every paper. Let’s finish this exam season with focus and determination! 💪📚

🏃 Cross Country Feedback:
Well done to our Cross Country athletes who competed last Saturday at Koedoeslaagte in Parys during the second league competition.

A special congratulations to:
🌟 Emihle Mdungelo
🌟 Karabo Ditshaba
🌟 Imraan Asmal

All three ran their personal best times!

We are also proud of Tlhonolofatso Maduna, who participated for the first time. Well done to all our runners for representing Calling with courage and effort! 👏

📌 Important Reminder

📅 Monday is a school holiday, and on Tuesday, we celebrate Youth Day.

📣 Friday News Flash | Term 2 Update 🌱✨

It has been another busy week at Calling Academy Kroonstad as exams continue. 👇

📅 This Week at Calling

🧭 ACSI Principals Conference:
Last week, Mr Botha attended the ACSI Principals Conference in Durban. It was once again an amazing opportunity for growth, encouragement, and networking with other Christian schools and their leadership. 🙏

📝 Exams in Full Swing:
The mid-year exams are well underway. Feedback from teachers indicates that results so far are mixed. Parents are encouraged to please ensure that students put in the necessary effort to prepare well. Please also check that they have the correct stationery, including calculators where needed. 📚

📵 Important Cellphone Reminder:
A firm reminder that cellphones are NOT allowed on school premises — not before, during, or after school. Phones may be handed in at the office and collected once the exam is over, but must then be put away while students wait for transport. This is a school rule and must be followed.

📌 Looking Ahead

🏃 Cross Country:
Four of our Cross Country athletes will compete in Parys tomorrow, accompanied by Mrs Judy-Lee Aucamp. We wish them all the best as they represent Calling! 💪

🎂 Birthday Wishes:
Tomorrow, we celebrate Ms Jessica Sekaleli’s birthday. We wish her a joyful and blessed day! 🎉💐

Have a blessed weekend, Calling Family. Let’s continue to finish this exam season with gratitude, purpose, and ownership. 🌿✨

💼📊 Exploring Careers in Accounting 📊💼

Norval and Company Incorporated recently visited Calling Academy Kroonstad to speak with our Grade 10 and Grade 11 learners about careers in Accounting and becoming a Chartered Accountant.

Learners gained valuable insight into what accountants actually do, different career pathways within the field, and practical advice for the future. One key takeaway was the possibility of studying online while working, helping to shorten the journey toward becoming a qualified accountant. 🎓💻

The team also emphasised the importance of ensuring that institutions are SAICA registered before enrolling, as this is essential for professional registration and career progression.

We are grateful for opportunities like these that help our learners make informed decisions about their futures. 🧡🤍❤️
