Our Grade 10 pupils took to the water and trails for a camp between Crossways and The Ferry Hotel, building the skills and confidence they will need for their upcoming 21 Day Way.

From mastering essential canoeing techniques to developing bike skills and navigating unfamiliar terrain, the camp was about far more than simply getting from A to B. It was an opportunity to learn, adapt, work together and prepare for the challenges that lie ahead.

With the 21 Day Way fast approaching, the journey has already begun.

THE ECO CHALLENGE STARTS NOW! 🌿🚴‍♂️

The questions have been asked. The teams have been put to the test. And now, our Grade 7 Wayfarers are ready to take on the Woodridge Eco Challenge!

From their biggest challenges to the craziest person on the team, our pupils gave us a little insight into the people they’ll be relying on over the next two days.

Starting in Jeffrey’s Bay and making their way to Woodridge, our teams of five will face a two-day adventure filled with unexpected challenges, problem-solving, teamwork and plenty of curveballs along the way.

And before they headed off, our Prep pupils made sure they knew exactly how much support they have behind them! 👏

Grade 7s, this one is yours.

Run hard. Ride strong. Think smart. Look after your team. Embrace the curveballs.

Most importantly, enjoy the adventure.

Good luck, Wayfarers! We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.

40 km. Three days. One unforgettable journey.

From 9–11 September, our Grade 9 pupils took on the Longmore Traverse through Longmore Forest, pushing themselves physically and mentally as they navigated a demanding wilderness journey.

There were tired legs, uncomfortable moments and times when perseverance mattered more than anything else. But there was also teamwork, encouragement, laughter and the quiet satisfaction of discovering that you can keep going when the journey gets tough.

As an important milestone in our Outdoor Education programme, the Longmore Traverse marks a step towards Grade 10 and the greater challenge of **The Way**.

More than a hike, it is an opportunity to discover resilience, responsibility and what can be achieved when you keep moving forward together.

Well done, Grade 9. You should be proud.

A sincere thank you to our Outdoor Education team and support staff for making this experience possible.

Learning about conservation is one thing. Experiencing it first-hand is something else entirely. 🌿

Our Grade 7 Eco-Committee were incredibly fortunate to visit Nyosi Wildlife Reserve this week for an unforgettable educational game drive.

From learning about rewilding and the importance of returning species to their natural habitats, to seeing an incredible array of wildlife up close, the experience brought so many of the principles explored by our Eco-Committee to life.

Impala, eland, waterbuck, elephant, mountain zebra, nyala, leopard tortoises, giraffe and an incredible variety of birdlife filled the day with moments to remember. And then came the extraordinary sighting of a female cheetah, followed by two young males feeding on a warthog.

For our pupils, it was a powerful reminder that conservation is not simply about protecting wildlife, but about creating spaces where nature can thrive.

A heartfelt thank you to the Nyosi team for sharing this remarkable reserve with our pupils and for giving them the opportunity to learn, explore, and experience conservation in action.

A day in the wild, and lessons they will carry with them long after they leave it. 🌍

Proud member of the WESSA Schools Programme.

Some conversations stay with you long after the room falls quiet.

On Heritage Day, our Grade 7–10 girls had the privilege of sitting down with Rachel Kolisi for a very special Campfire Chat.

Nothing was off limits. Rachel spoke with honesty and vulnerability about friendship, growing up, the pressures young women face and the moments that test us. She reminded our girls that the people we choose to surround ourselves with matter, that difficult experiences do not have to define us, and that sometimes the bravest thing we can do is simply keep moving forward.

There was laughter. There were difficult questions. There were moments of quiet reflection. And, most importantly, there was a room full of girls listening to a woman who was willing to be real with them.

The morning began with *Falling Forward*, beautifully performed by our Grade 7 pupil, Rose-Anne Gardiner. We were equally honoured to welcome young South African artist Anica Kiana, who wrote the song for Rachel’s upcoming documentary and joined us for the morning.

Celebrating Heritage Day with a conversation centred around resilience, courage, community and the stories that shape us felt especially fitting.

It was more than a conversation.

It was a reminder that we all have moments that shape us, people who help us through them, and the choice to keep moving forward.

Thank you, Rachel, for sharing your heart with our girls. 🤍

Business lessons, brought to life.

Our Grade 9s took EMS out of the classroom and into the real world for Market Day, putting their entrepreneurial skills to the test.

From developing products and setting prices to creating marketing campaigns, attracting customers and making sales, every stall was a hands on lesson in what it takes to run a business.

There was plenty of creativity, teamwork and a whole lot of fun along the way. Most importantly, our pupils had the opportunity to take ownership, make decisions and learn from the experience.

A little business, a lot of learning, and some very impressive young entrepreneurs.

Well done, Grade 9s! 👏

Little scientists in action! 🔬🧪✨

Our Grade 1s got hands-on with science, learning through experimenting, exploring and seeing their ideas come to life. Sometimes the best way to learn is to roll up your sleeves, get involved and discover for yourself! 💛

Curious minds, busy hands and plenty of wonderful discoveries along the way. 🌱
