The hockey action continued this past weekend as four of our teams, U9 Boys, U9 Girls, U11 Boys, and U13 Boys, took to the turf at the Plettenberg Primary Hockey Festival!

Our U13 Boys kicked off the action on Friday evening with an electric 6-a-side indoor tournament, finishing in second place after a nail-biting final against the hosts, Plettenberg Primary, losing by just a single goal.

Saturday was packed with non-stop fixtures. Our teams delivered fantastic performances across the board, securing impressive wins, well-fought draws, and showing incredible resilience through a few tough losses.

We are inspired by our parents’ unwavering support and commitment to fueling our learners' passion for sport! A huge thank you to every parent, player, and staff member for your dedication to our growing school community.

Lastly, a warm thank you to Plettenberg Primary for being such generous and welcoming hosts.

We are proud of sisters Lily (Grade 1) and Chloe Mello (Grade 6) as they represent the Sidwell Roman Ballet Studio in Port Elizabeth over the next two weeks!

They will be showcasing their talents at both the Friendly City Dance Festival (20–22 August) and the Nelson Mandela Bay Dance Festival (26–29 August).

May God bless your steps and allow your talents to shine brightly on stage. Go well, girls!

Double win for our U9 Hockey teams!

Both our Boys and Girls teams delivered stellar performances in a friendly match against Montessori Primary last week, each taking home a 2–0 win. More importantly, they represented our school with fantastic sportsmanship throughout!

A big thank you to for hosting us and supporting us with transport.

The Science Club Golden Rule: If nothing bubbled over, fizzed unexpectedly, or changed colors, did the experiment even happen? 🧪😜

During today’s Golden Hour, our young scientists explored exothermic and endothermic reactions using safe, child-friendly household ingredients—brewing a warm, foamy "Elephant Toothpaste" with mild hydrogen peroxide and active yeast, alongside a chillingly cold "Frosty Fizz."

A big thank you to Mrs Daleen Nagel for her effort and running the club with our learners every week.

Math is best understood when it can be seen, touched, and experienced! 📐

To help our Grade 4s master fractions, we implemented a kinesthetic learning activity that got them off their chairs and engaged in hands-on problem-solving. This interactive approach helps turn abstract mathematical principles into meaningful, lasting understanding.

We love seeing our learners express themselves, and our art classes provide the perfect outlet for that creative energy. 🎨

Recently, our Grade 8s were tasked with drawing inspiration from a reference photo and turning it into something entirely their own. It’s always fascinating to see how one single image can be interpreted in so many different, personal ways.

Take a look at some of their work!

Forest Edge enjoyed a fantastic morning on the field at Saturday’s Sedgefield Primary Hockey Festival.

We were proudly represented by four teams: our U9 Boys and Girls, as well as our U11 Boys and Girls. Every teams performed brilliantly, playing with incredible determination from start to finish.

A very warm thank you to all our parents for coming out to cheer us on. Your presence makes a world of difference to our learners and truly reinforces our commitment to fostering a lifelong love for sport.

Finally, thank you to Sedgefield Primary for hosting such a wonderful event.
